iPhone SE is officially coming back. Apple's much-beloved, more affordable iPhone is returning to stores April 24 for $399, with some significant upgrades over its predecessor. In the years since the original SE's release in 2016, a lot has changed, and the new SE is basically the iPhone 8's 4.7-inch body with the iPhone 11's inner workings.⁣
⁣Big phones have become the norm, and the new SE is bigger than the original, which had a 4-inch screen. The new SE is still smaller than the iPhone 11, which at 5.8 inches was Apple's smallest iPhone option. But don't expect it to be as perfectly pocket-sized phone the first SE was.⁣
⁣ The SE will come with a Retina True Tone Display, wireless charging, home button touch ID, similar battery life to the iPhone 8 and yes, no headphone jack.⁣
⁣
The iPhone SE's single rear camera comes in at 12 megapixels, with all portrait lighting effects, making it Apple's first 4.7-inch phone with Portrait Mode support. The SE can take 4K, 60fps footage, with an extended dynamic range up to 30fps, faster auto focus and Quick Take video on its rear and front-facing cameras.⁣
⁣
The iPhone SE comes in with three colors: black, white and Product (Red), and three price options: $399 for 64GB, $449 for 128GB and $549 for 256GB.⁣
⁣
Apple's new iPhone SE comes at a tough time for many of its users, but it does provide a much less expensive upgrade path for those still getting mileage out of the iPhone 6 and 7s. Especially now that the iPhone 8 is being discontinued, is the new iPhone SE packing enough to convince you to upgrade?⁣
